Derive requirements from your customer documents and create a Requirements Interchange Format file with a few clicks.

Are you struggling with unstructured requirements documents?

Efficient requirements analysis starts with structured data. Unfortunately, requirements are often buried in unstructured documents, such as PDFs, making them hard for tools to interpret. Extracting these requirements manually with all their content elements and context is an incredibly time-consuming and error-prone task. Structure Navigator solves this challenge by transforming unstructured PDFs into structured data in just a few simple steps. It creates a Requirements Interchange Format file, ready for seamless upload into your PLM, like Polarion.

semantha Structure Navigatorturning documents into requirements in three steps

1. Mapping

semantha visually analyzes your document, breaking it down into paragraphs grouped by similar text features. You can assign paragraph types to these groups, such as Heading, Reference ID, or Description, or exclude unnecessary text. Over time, semantha learns from your mappings, making future analyses faster and more precise. For specific documents, you can train a custom model in advance to streamline the process further.

2. Section definition

Sections represent the requirements in your document. Define where they begin by assigning a paragraph type or applying a regular expression. This definition ensures the accurate separation of each requirement.

3. Structuring

Review and refine the extracted sections and attributes from your document. Each section can include different paragraph types, and even images and tables are recognized and stored as objects. You can merge, split, or delete both sections and paragraphs to fine-tune the results and finally export them as a ReqIF file or transfer them to your semantha library.

Seamless integration

Easily import your structured data into your requirements management system. You can map the attributes from Structure Navigator to the corresponding attributes in your system, ensuring a consistent data pool. After the upload, your requirements are formatted exactly as needed and ready for you to analyze.
