WhatCanAIDoForMe.com launched – The matching platform for companies and AI providers
The matching platform for companies with AI needs and AI solution providers developed in the joint research project “What can AI do for me?” has been live in beta version since 19 October. Since January 2021, the project consortium, consisting of Stuttgart Media University, KENBUN IT AG and thingsThinking GmbH, has been working on the platform, which is now available free of charge on whatcanaidoforme.com.
The aim of the platform is to connect companies with still unspecific AI projects and suitable AI solution providers. With the planned web application, small and medium-sized enterprises in particular are to be shown the potential of AI solutions and the first hurdle in implementation – the identification of suitable application possibilities and solution providers – is to be overcome. The basis for the matching is an extensive research project at the Institute for Applied Artificial Intelligence at the Media University. For AI solution providers, the application represents a free opportunity to gain new customers and to bring their own AI solutions more strongly into use at companies. “With this project, we want to contribute to the networking of the AI ecosystem with the established economy,” says Prof. Dr. Jürgen Seitz, head of the joint research project.
The platform can be used free of charge at www.WhatCanAIDoForMe.com since 19.10.2021. Companies with AI needs can describe their problems in text form on the platform and receive suggestions for suitable AI application scenarios and solution providers through semantic matching. To be represented on the platform as an AI solution provider, an online questionnaire is available on the website.

The joint research project is funded by the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Economics as part of the AI Innovation Competition. The 44 selected projects are to overcome technological hurdles and accelerate the development of AI products and AI services.
